Guernsey racing driver Sebastian Priaulx will compete in his first race of the 2017 Ginetta Junior Championship this weekend (1
st - 2
nd April 2017) at Brands Hatch.
The Junior Championship is a series for 14 to 17-year-old racing drivers who are starting out in their motorsport careers, held over 25 rounds at 10 race weekends, each race lasting 15 minutes. It's on the support programme for the prestigious British Touring Car Championship.
The local 16 year old, who is the son of triple World Touring Car Champion Andy Priaulx, is backed by UK car insurance provider, 1
ST CENTRAL.
Simon Walker, Group Chief Operations Officer, at First Central Group, said: “We would like to wish Seb the very best of luck for this weekend’s race and extend our best wishes to him for the racing season ahead. We're very much looking forward to watching Seb’s progress in this Championship as he continues to fly the flag for Guernsey.”
This will be the second season in the Simpson Race Products Ginetta Junior Championship for Seb, but this time he will have the logos of 1
ST CENTRAL on his Ginetta G40. Winning the title is his clear aim.
